At the conclusion of this segment, participants will be able to:

  • State the relationship between tension and retention.
  • Integrate icebreakers into their ongoing training efforts.
  • Find applications for five icebreakers.
  • Apply checkpoints into their existing training efforts to measure retention or attitudes.
  • Identify at least five methods for building in checkpoints.

Facilitation Techniques

At the conclusion of this segment, participants will be able to:

  • Differentiate opportunities for Presentations Vs Facilitations.
  • Determine the optimal room set up for facilitation.
  • Apply a three-step process for debriefing to all role-play situations.
  • Apply any of twelve techniques to help work a group.

Media Tips & Techniques

At the conclusion of this segment, participants will be able to:

  • List techniques to effectively use a Flip Chart, PC Projector, Overhead Projector and VCR to help facilitate a group.
  • Identify the eleven key elements that add up to effective PowerPoint presentations.
  • Discuss three techniques that all presenters should utilize when delivering a PowerPoint presentation.

Problem Participants

At the conclusion of this segment, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the three most common types of participants.
  • List the most common problem participants and develop strategies for dealing with those participants.
